What a pleasure it is to see an original and relevant contemporary French series.
What joy to discover a demanding, bold, and technically virtuoso work.
What happiness to realize that the three creators (Les Parasites) and the two producers (Et Bim), not to mention a good part of the technical team, are former students of EICAR (it feels like yesterday).

The episodes will air in pairs, on Canal+, every Monday starting November 11 (at 10:00 PM). Two prime-time evenings are also planned (with four episodes each time). And also… Available on demand on MyCanal.

Several renowned actors have agreed to participate in the project: Audrey Fleurot (the driven character from The Intouchables), Thibault de Montalembert (the ambitious and ambiguous character from Call My Agent), Philippe Rebbot (the old, overbearing but endearing friend in Vernon Subutex), as well as Lubna Azabal, Samir Guesmi… But the actor you’ll remember is a brave young man working in a nursing home, the remarkable Bastien Ughetto, who is also one of the creators of the series, one of Les Parasites, alongside his two writing/directing partners: Guillaume Desjardins and Jérémy Bernard.

We must pay attention to these young artists who are changing platforms here, momentarily leaving their YouTube channel (Les Parasites) to settle on CANAL+, which made the (VERY) right choice in trusting them. When will they take their big leap into cinema? (It won’t be long!).

We must also appreciate the dedication and courage of their producers: Ambroise Carminati and Andréa Vistoli from Et Bim (not to forget the production manager: Mathieu Barbaray), who moved mountains to bring this project to life, with an added activist dimension: a commitment to eco-production, toward responsible productions, ensuring that collapsology is not just the theme of the series, but perhaps also a new way of seeing/filming/observing our world…

I'll stop here, but I hope—and I know—that we’ll be talking again about this series, about these artists/artisans/technicians, about these themes, in short, about this work that questions today but already represents tomorrow…
